Kortrijk Travel Guide
Known as the ‘City of the Golden Spurs’, Kortrijk takes its nickname from the legendary medieval victory commemorated in the Battle of the Golden Spurs. Situated on the banks of the Leie River, it developed through centuries of commerce, warfare and textile craftsmanship—particularly its once-thriving flax and linen industry. Today, Kortrijk is about creative design, fashion and music.
